Hunt prices and booking information Due to the adverse nature of Alaska, questionable capabilities of clients, and interference from Mr. Murphy- also guaranteed hunts are Illegal in the State of Alaska- so we make no guarantees other than a great effort to provide successful hunts for all of our clients. Hunters should be prepared mentally, as well as physically, and properly equipped. Alaskan weather can be very trying at times and our terrain may be difficult for some. Weather conditions have a great deal to do with game movements and good trophies are not usually found in easy terrain. Forgive us for the above rambling, as most hunters understand this, but we find some that don't. We try for a complete and clear understanding between us and our clients. The only guarantee that we make is that we will provide you with a true Alaskan wilderness experience. Now for the hunt prices and booking information we need, in order to provide the hunt you are expecting. A hunt date should be confirmed as far in advance as possible. Hunts booked more than one year in advance require a 1/3 deposit, for less than one year a deposit of 50% of total hunt cost. Hunt to be paid in full 30 days prior to hunt. Deposits and license fees are non-refundable; however, there is a cancellation insurance coverage available that you can get through your local broker, or we will be glad to send the information to you. This is a good idea to get on any hunting trip. These prices are for expected time spent within our hunting area. Clients should plan to be in hunting area at least the day before their hunt is to take place. (There is a no hunting same day airborne law in Alaska.) Due to weather or flight problems that come up before hunt date, client may be late in arrival at camp. This is usually no problem as far as hunting goes, but our price stays the same as we plan so many days for each hunt and have the same cost whether hunter arrives or not. At the end of the hunt client may be unable to leave hunting area due to weather or flight problems. We do not charge for staying in camp if a guide or helper is not obligated to be with client, at this time for what ever reason. If a hunt is extended, a day rate will be charged for extra days. When a client arrives in our hunting area via plane or boat we don't usually have a camp at this point of arrival and will require a walk to camp. Some of our camps are a short distance and others are two or three hours away depending or what hunt we are on. This will all be explained at time of booking. We base these prices on a ten (10) day hunt. Fifteen (15) days or longer are recommended for a mixed bag hunt. Just let us know what you want if so desired. |

We usually have camp help at base-camp such as a cook and some one to take care of trophies and do short backpacking, but for a packer to go along on the actual hunt this cost will run from $250 to $275 a-day depending on hunt and capability of packer. For non-hunters to go along with hunting client, $275.00 a-day as long as they are compatible with hunt. One last thing, Gratuities! We are asked this question a lot. We are reluctant to say anything about this because it is a personal decision. But the average is $500. to $1,000. to the guide, Our guide always gives 100% whether the hunt is successful or not. Transportation cost are not included in the hunt. Due to fluctuations in the economy, you'll have to call us for a estimate. This is depending on air-craft or boat used at the time; also, weather conditions may affect travel time and cost. Due to the difficulty of getting into our hunting areas, highly experience and efficient bush carriers are used. This is one reason we still have large prime hunting areas that are not used by other people, and this makes the extra cost and effort worth while to clients that appreciate such a area. If you evaluate our hunts to comparative guides, here are some things to think about ——–consider our long time experience and knowledge of the actual areas we are now hunting. Our hunts are a bit on the primitive side —–"no lodge or hunting from aircraft". We use comfortable tent camps compatible with the area hunted. We have over 47 years in these areas. Remember, there is no substitute for experience. Note: Our hunts in the Prince William Sound are within the Chugach National Forest, Under a special use permit issues by the US Forest Service. License and tags must be in hand before you arrive in our hunting area. They can be bought when you arrive in Anchorage, or point of arrival, or acquired through the mail. We are also a license vender for the State of Alaska an you can pre buy your license and big game tags from her prior to your hunt. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
